What is a gross lease?

A gross lease is a lease where the tenant pays only rent to the landlord. The other expenses such as property insurance, property taxes, and property maintenance are paid by the landlord. A gross lease is commonly used for residential rentals, but can also be used for a commercial or industrial rentals.
